Latest Reader Feedback on: Supply Chain Q1 2010 - Notes from the Field
I think the current trend is to continue onward at the present level until the economy shows an uptick.
However, the layoffs or as some companies do it, not replacing folks who have left, has put additional burden on the folks that are left. And the cost containment and reduction cycles continue on relentlessly even though you may have hit rock bottom...

| For the Week ending March 5, 2010 |
A generally good week in the market last week for our basket of supply chain and logistics stocks, as numbers for the past month also look strong.
On the software side, procurement software and services provider Ariba was up a solid 8.2%, while Manhattan Associates continued a recent surge, up 6.7% for the week and 19% for the month. JDA Software is up 168% year over year.
In auto ID, Intermec was up 6.7%.
Most transportation and logistics stocks were also up, led by rail carrier Candian National, up 6.8%. JB Hunt was the only loser in the group, down just 1.4% for the week. YRC Worldwide even gained a penny - to 47 cents per share.
